We sell natural gold nuggets
from gold-bearing creeks in the Yukon and northern British Columbia.
Miners recover
the nuggets from deposits of sand, gravel, broken rock or other
loose mineral material. These deposits are called “placers” and
the naturally occurring gold they yield is referred to as “placer
gold”.
The gold found in placers may have travelled a
great distance from the host rock where it originated. Worn by
the action of water
and friction, each gold nugget has its own unique shape. The
largest gold nuggets are extremely rare.
Placer gold comes in all sizes from the finest
flour gold to coarse gold and nuggets of one millimeter or larger.
Our gold nuggets
range in weight from several grams to several hundred grams (or
several ounces). When you purchase one of our larger nuggets,
you will receive a certificate that documents where the nugget
came
from, what it weighs and when it was purchased. You can buy the
nugget as is or, at your request, we will polish it and set it
in a piece of jewellery.
